.........for quite sometime now, i have been trying to understand the term "folcorismo" which i had accidentally stumbled across while reading about modernism in a paper published by Victor A. Grauer.
All my attempts have yielded no results. Picture this- Google search has returned 9 results.........
This is where i begin my quest from........ I hope someone out there might be able to help me.

why don't you contact Victor A. Grauer. instead of getting excited for not understanding a thing.
This is Victor Grauer. The word was mis-spelled. It is "folclorismo," a Spanish word which translates as "folklore-ism." It was a movement in the arts during the 30's and 40's which sought inspiration in the local folklore of whatever country or region the artist came from.
The word was mis-spelled in the essay. It should be "folclorismo." It's a Spanish word, referring to a movement in the arts dating from the 1930's and 40's, which put an emphasis on the use of folklore as a source of melodies and rhythms (in music) and images (in the visual arts). It began, I guess, in Latin America, so it took on a Spanish name. But it was a very widespread movement during that period.
